Bandage Drives
Kylee was passionate about a lot of things and one of those things was pretty bandages! She never wanted to have plain brown brown bandages when she had to have finger pricks and blood draws.

In honor of Kylee we want to make sure that no child gets stuck with yucky brown bandages! We partner with Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and Dell Children's Hospital to provide colorful bandages to their pediatric cardiac patients.

Household Bills, Meals and Gas Cards
The wait for a heart transplant can sometimes take weeks or months. And during this time the child will most likely have to stay in the hospital until a donor heart is received. This can cause a financial burden on many families while parents juggle jobs and wanting to stay with their sick child.

Hearts for Kylee Foundation's mission is to lessen this financial burden as much as possible so parents can focus on what's most important, their child! We have been able to pay mortgage and rent payments, cell phone bills, car payments, and utility bills. We provide gas cards to the families to help pay for the multiple trips they are making between the hospital and home. We also partner with both Dell Children's Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital to provide meal cards to the families so they may receive hot meals from the cafeteria. This program is the heart of our mission.
Beads of Courage
Hearts for Kylee Foundation has brought back the Beads of Courage Program to the cardiac patients of Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital!

Through this program children tell their story using colorful beads that serve as meaningful symbols honoring their courage displayed along their unique treatment path. Their Beads of Courage experience begins when each child is first given a length of string and beads that spell out their first name. Then, colorful beads, each representing courage during their treatment experiences are given to the child by their healthcare provider.
Birthday and Holiday Parties
No child wants to spend their birthday or a holiday in the hospital. Unfortunately with cardiac patients this often cannot be helped. Hearts for Kylee Foundation teams up with the hospitals to make sure these kids have a very special day! We try to accommodate the children's wishes from Moana themed parties to ordering in chicken wings with friends!

Waiting Room Books and Goodie Bags
Waiting is never fun, but Hearts for Kylee Foundation tries to make it a little more fun with books and goodie bags!

We have set up 'Kylee's Book Nook' at the Heart Institute at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Children can choose a book while they are waiting for their appointment and take it home with them!
​
We have also provided goodie bags for the Heart Institutes at both Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and Dell Children's Hospital.
